Pink Floyd

Pink Floyd is an England progressive rock band, achieve huge recognition in the combination of space rock style and their progressive rock. The band is known for its meaningful melodies, discoveries in music, creative performance albums, and amazing live shows. Pink Floyd is one of the most successful rock bands globally with 200 million albums sold, and 74.5 million sold in the US only.

The foundation of the band started with Syd Barrett, Nick Mason, Roger Waters, and Richard Wright. With the talented leadership of Barrett, they got their first success launching two singles and an album. David Gilmour joined the band in December 1967, their fifth member. Then in April 1968, Barrett left the band because of his health. After that, Waters handle Barrett's position as the main composer until he left in 1985.

Pink Floyd has received an enormous positive audience reaction. Have themself as one of the most famous London rock bands in the late 60s.

In the next decades, the band has continued their path recording many albums and continued receiving success. For instance, the album The Dark Side of the Moon (1973), Wish You Were Here (1975), Animals (1977), and The Wall (1979).

Following personal reason, in 1979, Wright left Pink Floyd, then followed by Waters in 1985. The members who stay still continue to produce 2 more music albums and achieve new success with A Momentary Lapse of Reason (1987) và The Division Bell (1994). Waters later cameback and sang with the band for the first time in June 2005 at London Live 8 concert.
